Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of wedding dresses that are out of the ordinary. It seems like brides are straying from the traditional white dress and looking to show their personal style (Carrie Bradshaw wedding attire, anyone?).

I’ve been seeing short, asymmetrical, patterned, separates, and colorful dresses. Here are a few of my favorite, out of the ordinary dresses from some of my favorite wedding dress resources.

Well first of all…

Welcome and thank you for following the blog of adore adorn - a Philadelphia based event design team.

Megan and I spent an evening together wondering how we would describe to the tumblr world what we were all about. She joined me at my house for a lovely meal of tomato, basil, and mozzarella pasta. We strolled down 13^th Street to Capogiro Gelato and devoured amazing flavors such as pineapple basil & soco and peach.

I suggested that we go see a new Mike Mills film called Beginners at the Ritz just a few blocks away.  I had already seen it with a friend and found it extremely relevant to my life at the moment.

The film stars Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer, Mélanie Laurent, and an adorable jack russell terrier.  The film is about life, love, death, and taking a chance at happiness. It is about how transformative life can be, in the good and bad.  The film shows how any moment in life can inspire event planning. From a costume party to a simple hotel meal, all things can motivate us in our work. 

We believe that just like the film exudes, every happening in life should be unique and honest. That is exactly what we try to show in our events. Why are we unique? We have shared interested and strong backgrounds in music, art, fashion, dance, and design that we have developed an eclectic yet consistently refined taste in events and the various aspects involved in planning for every occasion.  And honestly we are beginners.  But we hope to use this as a starting point to show you all what we are capable of. 

So please enjoy our posts of our findings, events, life, and generally all we love.
